Babylon 5 fans, watch this now

As a die-hard Babylon 5 fan, I found this quite entertaining, despite its geekiness.

Or perhaps my liking this video is evidence of just how geeky I am.

  1. Thank you. I've been without Babylon 5 for a while now, and I missed it. That was very funny.

  2. It's cute: nice filk and good editing. Unfortunately, it's clearly dated: Crusade didn't make it....

  3. Thanks for that. I'll trade you:

You should check out the film at

    www.starwreck.com

The whole film is a full half-GB download, but the basic synopsis:

    Two hours.
    Star Trek vs Babylon 5.
    All home-shot.
Most sets CG (blue-screen in a dining room).
    Great in space special effects.
    All in Finnish.

It took them seven years. It's the single nerdiest thing I've seen in years, but it's hilarious. Especially if you liked the filk humor. :)

At least look at the trailer for it, if you don't have the bandwidth for the whole film. I think you'll like it.

  4. Oh, Captain, thank you. Star Wreck VI is finally complete! I downloaded it the day it came online, feeling like a mom at my kid's graduation. My son, a CGI artist, has been following Samuli and friends' star wrecks from the beginning, (when they were of a design and quality that makes old South Park look like FX magic) to the release of this most remarkable and ambitious fanflik. Familiarity with the series of short pieces that preceded it will give some useful background on the the characters of Pirk and Fukov, btw, but watch this one first.

  5. Star Wreck has a fan site now, not too shabby; clips, star wreck babe of the week, unofficial clips and captures.
